The rising tide of extreme right and ant-immigrant parties in the rest of Europe is given little attention in the UK. The situation has become worse – the policies and practices that institutionalises racism and xenophobia have been strengthened throughout Europe under the cloud of terror, recession and migration management. The seminar will explore the alarming evidence of how the agenda of intolerance has become mainstream and how it should be challenged.
