Training

The Monitoring Group provide training courses for agencies working to support victims of racial violence. The courses are held in London, Midlands, the South West and the North West region.  We have worked closely with national charities such as Refugee Action and the National Association of Citizen Advice Bureau, and local authorities such as LB Ealing to provide training to a wide group of people who themselves provide second tier advice to victims.

Our training and educational program not only offers accurate and updated information, they are also geared to be problem solving, action-oriented and interactive with participants. We have a wealth of experience in training voluntary and statutory bodies and can count on many real experts in the field. The training programmes have been set up with four clear purposes,

  • developing a consistent and practical victim-oriented approach
  • implementing preventative strategies which accords with best practice, especially within educational establishments
  • increasing individual skills and capacity to deliver better support services to victims
  • increasing organisational effectiveness to meeting their legal obligations and duties to BME victim
