Court date for men accused of racial assault

Two Glastonbury men have appeared in court charged with an unprovoked and racially aggravated attack upon a man in the town centre.

Kristopher Ackroyd, 27, of Boundary Way and Martin David Pople, 26, of Benedict Street, were both before South Somerset Magistrates last Thursday. They are both alleged to have unlawfully and maliciously inflicted grievous bodily harm upon Matthew Ocasla which was racially aggravated.

No pleas were entered by either defendant.
