Two Kurdish men have spoken out after been viciously attacked in Wrexham by a gang of baseball bat-wielding thugs.

Motasam Rahim and Rebaz Said were walking to the Co-op store in Hightown, Wrexham, when they were set upon by a group of seven men.

“We were at our friend’s house that evening and on the way home we called at the Co-op store to buy a bottle of water and as we came out they attacked us,” Rebaz said.

Both men were taken to hospital after suffering horrific injuries and Motasam has been told there is a possibility that he may lose his eyesight.
