A man from Watford has been arrested after footage of a passenger using ‘racist language’ on a Tube train was posted online.

The 52-year-old was held on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence, British Transport police said, and he has since been bailed.

‘An investigation was launched after we were made aware of a YouTube clip of a man using racist language on board a Bakerloo line train,’ a police spokesperson said.

The man is due to return to a police station on October 30 while inquiries continue.
