Man punched and kicked in racist assault

A man was assaulted in Fishermead early on Sunday morning as he walked towards Pencarrow Place.

He was approached by three men and asked if he had a light.

When he said no he was punched, kicked and racially abused.

The man was taken to hospital with a possible fracture to his left cheek, a one inch cut to his right eyebrow, large swellings on his head, pain in his left hand and pain to his back and ribs.

The first man is white, about 22, 5ft tall, and of large build but not fat. He wore a black woollen hat, black scarf, black waist length jacket, black jeans and black lace up boots.

The other two men are also white and in their 20. They also wore black hats, jackets and jeans.
