SHOPKEEPER Taro Caur has been living in fear since thugs launched a racist attack on her family’s shop.
Four yobs hurling abuse threw a brick through the front door of the Best One store on Pembroke Street, Cinderford and broke an advertising panel in the early hours of New Year’s Day.
Taro, who lives above the shop with her husband Makhani Singh and son Tony said: “Since it happened I feel scared. I don’t know what will happen next.
“I can’t sleep because if I hear any noise I have to get up. I’ve never felt like that before.”
The offenders then smashed the door and made off along a nearby alleyway.
Taro says the vandalism will cost hundreds of pounds to repair but it is the emotional and psychological effect of the attack that is the most upsetting.
