Kids Against Racism

Everyday in virtually every school, students and staff suffer the pain and indignity of being targeted for harassment because they are different, because of their ethnic origin, religion, sexuality, gender or nationality.

Often this harassment occurs in front of peers or school staff yet there is a tendency to think this is not harassment or that’s it’s a part of growing up or sometimes people know its not acceptable but are uncertain what they can do.

This site is specially designed to help people facing racist, ethnic or religious harassment. Often if a school environment accepts one form of harassment, often other forms of harassment will also occur. Many of the strategies and advice may be applicable for other forms of harassment. By focusing on the broader everyone can help to create a safe, and just environment that is safe for learning.
