A 12-year-old boy Asian boy was punched and racially abused in a street attack in Glasgow.
He was walking with his 10-year-old brother along Brockburn Road, Pollok, at 22:10 on Sunday when he was assaulted by a white teenager.
The boy made his way home and was taken to hospital where he was kept in overnight.
Police said the attacker was described as being 15 or 16-years-old, with short blond hair.
He was wearing a dark-coloured body warmer, red short-sleeved shirt and grey jogging bottoms.
Insp Fraser Lennox, of Police Scotland, said: “The boys had been at their aunt’s house nearby and were making their way along the footpath when the assault took place.
“Officers are checking CCTV and carrying out door-to-door enquiries in the area in an effort to trace the youth responsible.
