A row between neighbours escalated when one racially abused the other and used a baseball bat to smash their fence.

Timothy Buchanan, 39, swore at his neighbour Bulent Al and insulted his wife before telling him to “go back to his own country”.

He launched the foul-mouthed attack while Mr Al’s four young children were playing in the garden and then, armed with a baseball bat, started to vandalise their fence.
The incident happened on July 17 in Littleport, in a street from which Buchanan has now moved.
Laura Mardell, prosecuting, said: “Mr Al was in the kitchen and his four young children were out playing in the garden when he heard two loud banging noises coming from outside.
