Racist graffiti aimed at Muslims and people of Pakistani origin was painted in the subway in Queen’s Road, Watford, on Monday night.

A swastika was also sprayed with the graffiti as well as the initialism “BMP”.

A police spokesman said the graffiti appeared between 6pm on Monday night and 9.30am this morning and has now been cleared.

Investigations are still ongoing and anyone with information should call the non-emergency number 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting C1/13/4672.
