Support TMG sponsored bike ride

Next week, I am undertaking a 150 mile charity Bike Ride for “The Monitoring Group ” – a charity tackling racist and religious violence.

The Bike Ride will take me across England. We start on the Irish Sea in Workington, though the former coal mining and industrial lands of West Cumbria, then through the stunning scenery of the northern Lake District and head into Keswick before passing through Penrith and the Eden Valley onto the Northern Pennines – the roof of England. From there we trek the old steel town of Consett through Newcastle and finishing at the North Sea in Tynemouth.

The Monitoring is a leading anti-racist charity that promotes civil rights. It is a leading exponent of family led empowerment and justice campaigns in the UK and have led campaigns to help families of Stephen Lawrence, Zahid Mubarek and Victoria Climbie – all these cases led to Public Judicial Inquiries and consequent changes in legislation, social policies and practices.
The Monitoring Group currently receives over 4000 calls annually on its Help Line from people suffering racial violence, religious hatred, sexual violence and state neglect or misconduct.

As a charity TMG is reliant on fundraising to continue to support victims of race-hate crime and we would be grateful for your help. You can support us by making a donation through the Charities Aid Foundation below.
