Swansea man accused of racial abuse on Twitter social network

A MAN has appeared in court charged with racially abusing three people on social networking site Twitter.

Ricky Lee Davies, 20, entered no plea when he appeared at Swansea Crown Court.

Davies, of St Leger Crescent, Swansea, had previously faced a total of five charges — one of sending offensive messages by public communication, two of causing religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress, and another two of causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm or distress.

All the offences are alleged to have taken place on February 28 this year, the court heard.
