The Big Debate  The Southall Legacy

Saturday 21st july 2012 at 5pm to 8pm Featherstone High School, 11 Montague Way, Southall UB2 5HF

(food & refreshments served)

The Vishnu Sharma Memorial Committee in partnership and with the support of many local community groups present The Big Debate – The Southall Legacy

This a special public meeting

It will remember and pay tribute to the work of Vishnu Sharma, a legendary international activist and leader of the IWA (Southall), who empowered the poor, mobilised working people, and fought against racism with fearless audacity.  As importantly it will spark the big debate on the future of Southall. What are key current social priorities for residents of Southall? How will the austerity affect us? How do young people view Southall and what vision do they bring for its future? Are we becoming less tolerant of others? What is the future of multiculturalism and pluralism? Can we forge a new spirit of unity for our diverse communities? And can our experience be emulated nationally.

Free entrance. But please book in advance.
